Paramount Pictures acquires Screenlife

Mumbai: Viacom owned Paramount Pictures has acquired Screenlife LLC, which is the creator of Scene It? game franchise, with an aim to step up on its digital content initiatives. Post the acquisition, Screenlife will continue to operate as a standalone company and will report to Paramount Digital Entertainment.
"The acquisition of Screenlife advances Paramount Digital Entertainment's multiplatform strategy and will enable us to create new digital content that is interactive, entertaining and easily accessible to audiences everywhere," said Paramount Digital Entertainment president Thomas Lesinski.
Screenlife's "Scene" is a series of video-based trivia games that has sold over 15 million titles on the DVD, mobile, VOD and video game platforms. Since its launch in 2002, "Scene" has released 25 titles.
