Orion Pictures signs lyricist Sameer for five films

MUMBAI: Mukesh Talreja and Nikhil Advani's Orion Pictures has signed lyricist Sameer to pen the lyrics for the production house's five upcoming films.

As has already been reported by Businessofcinema.com, Orion Pictures is planning to produce six films over the next 12 months. Of the two films that are under production are Chandni Chowk to China and Ab Dilli Door Nahi. Another film in the offing is the official remake of Hollywood movie Wedding Crashers.

Chandni Chowk to China stars Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone and is being distributed by Warner Bros.

Orion Pictures has commissioned four other projects one of which is Milap Milan Zaveri's Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, which stars Ritiesh Deshmukh and Ayesha Takia. The other films, which are in the pipeline will be directed by Nikhil Advani, Vikramiditya Motwane and Shivam Nair.
