MUMBAI: Sahara One Media and Entertainment's Hindi movie channel Filmy has appointed Nilesh Bhanushali as the national ad sales head. Prior to his appointment, Bhanushali was the regional head, ad sales - West and South, for Filmy.

Bhanushali has been in the media sales professional for more than 12 years. He has worked with companies like Dainik Bhaskar and Indian Express, before joining Filmy in May 2006.

Filmy business head Shailesh Kapoor said, "Nilesh has, over the last few months, successfully spearheaded the West and the South teams. He shares the vision to take brand Filmy forward, and build on all its strengths and differentiators."

Bhanushali added, "It's a very exciting and challenging opportunity to work on an innovative and vibrant brand like Filmy. Our original content and properties add qualitative value to our advertisers, thus making us stand apart in the genre. I'm looking forward to the action packed blockbuster year for Filmy in 2008."
