Partner grosses over Rs 420 million
MUMBAI: Eros International's Salman Khan and Govinda starrer Partner, which was released worldwide on 20 July, has grossed over Rs 420 million (Rs 42 crores) worldwide in its opening weekend as per the company.
With the film releasing across a 900 plus screens globally and as many as 14 -16 shows daily planned at some multiplexes, Eros International is hoping for an excellent run of the rib tickling comic caper at the box office.
Eros International Plc director and president India Sunil Lulla said, "We are delighted with the audience reactions to Partner. There has been an excellent response to the superb chemistry between the first time pairing of the lead actors and David Dhawan's inimitable sense of humour, making them the perfect ingredients for a smash hit comedy."
Produced by Sohail Khan and K Sera Sera, Partner comes through a major output deal signed by Eros with K Sera Sera last year.
Eros' other releases in August 2007 include Gandhi My Father and Heyy Babyy.
