MUMBAI: Sahara One Media and Entertainment Limited's Hindi movie channel Filmy business head Ashutosh has put in his papers.

Filmy content and marketing head Shailesh Kapoor, will now be stepping into Ashutosh's shoes as the channel's new business head. Ashutosh put in his papers last week to pursue alternative career options.

Kapoor said, "I'm extremely excited about the new role, especially because the channel is buzzing with activity right now, with Guru and Bathroom Singer flagging off what promises to be a great year ahead of us. The marketplace is competitive but Filmy has managed to create a strong brand. The challenge now is to encash the Filmy brand towards more viewership and revenue."

Kapoor is an alumnus of IIT Delhi (1997) and IIM Kolkata (1999). Prior to Filmy, he has worked with Sony Entertainment Television, Indya.com, Zee Cinema and Zoom in varied roles in marketing, content and strategy.
