Cannes: Shemaroo steps up on Ghatothkach
MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is aggressively promoting its new animation film Ghatothkach – Master of Magic at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.
The company’s booth at the festival showcasing various products is primarily focusing on Ghatothkach, with posters, cut-outs and audio-visual promotions of the movie.
Shemaroo has come up with an exclusive Ghatothkach Kit for the Cannes Film Festival. This kit is inclusive of an aesthetic folder with the following Ghatothkach merchandise: note book, mouse pad, show reel, calendar and flier. These kits have been created for potential buyers, distributors and business associates.
In the India Pavilion at Cannes, Shemaroo has put up a huge wall-size display of Ghatothkach. They have also promoted this animated movie through advertising in leading international magazines like Hollywood Reporter and Variety.
Shemaroo Entertainment vice president Hiren Gada said, “We are looking to tap the potential new audiences in the international market and promote Ghatothkach – Master of Magic through innovative positioning. We are already seeing a lot of interest in Ghatothkach. We are hoping to be able to create a wider global market for Indian animation.â€
Shemaroo Entertainment vice president animation division Smita Maroo added, “With all these and more Ghatothkach – Master of Magic, is bound to leave a mark at Cannes and reach out to the global masses across miles.â€
The company is also working on various international tie-ups for Ghatothkach and is also aiming at having an international release of the film. The movie will have an international English dub track.
