Film: Risk

Rating: 2/5
An honest and upright encounter specialist Suryakant Satam (Randeep Hooda) has taken charge of putting an end to Khalid's (Vinod Khanna) underworld networking that is operational in Mumbai. Khalid himself has set base in Bangkok and his delegated counterparts handle routine affairs in Mumbai. Of course it's not as simple; he faces competition from another don Naidu in Mumbai and a strike from Satam himself.
In the midst of all the upheaval, all hell breaks lose when Satam arrests Devki Vardhan who is Khalid's sister, a politician and the manager of his activities in Mumbai. Now Satam's job is at risk because all his 'so called' supporters have become detractors and his encounters have been framed as murders. The cop is put behind bars and an enquiry has been filed against him.
In the mean time when Satam is struggling through a dilemma, his mind gives birth to a master plan. He realizes his job is full of risks and doing his duty honestly is the toughest job. One risk can change his life and a daring cop that he is; he undertakes that challenge and becomes part of his underworld network to decease its crux.
Majority of the movie belong to Randeep Hooda who very well suits the rough and tough cop image but unfortunately doesn't impress much. We have seen better cops in action in the past. This surely is Vinod Khanna's comeback film as an actor but unfortunately he too hasn't pushed himself to the edge to offer anything exceptional. In fact it looks like this role was a piece of cake for him to enact. Tanushree Dutta role is too small and her dialogues are even lesser.
Seema Biswas as Khanna's sister lends able support. Yashpal Sharma as Vinod Khanna's younger brother acts well, because the role he has in Risk are the types he has played too often in the past. Makrand Deshpande has been wasted to the utmost point with only three dialogues to his credit.
