Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, T-Series president - marketing media publishing (TV) Vinod Bhanushali said, "Yes we have acquired the music rights of five films of Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd. We have been associated with Ashtavinayak for some of their earlier films and this time since they are making five films at the same time we decided to buy the entire slate. Also the fact that we have worked together earlier and we share a certain comfort level with them is one of the reasons we signed the acquisition deal with them."

Besides the five films from the Ashtavinayak stable, T-Series has also acquired the music rights of other forthcoming films like Housefull directed by Sajid Khan and starring Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta and Deepika Padukone; Kites directed by Anurag Basu and starring Hritikh Roshan, Babara Mori and Kangana Ranaut; Paathshala directed by Milind Ukey and starring Shahid Kapur, Ayesha Takia and Sushant Singh and Action Replay directed by Vipul Shah starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others.
