Up in the Air leads Golden Globe nominations
MUMBAI: Paramount Pictures' Up in the Air, received the most Golden Globe nominations of any film this year, with a total of six nominees including Best Motion Picture-Drama, Best Director for Jason Reitman, Best Screenplay for Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner, Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama for George Clooney, and two Best Performances by Actresses in a Supporting Role for both Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick.
The film has also received numerous other film critic organization accolades such as four National Board of Review wins for Best Film, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress, as well as eight Broadcast Film Critics nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Acting Ensemble, and Best Editing. Clooney received additional recognition from the New York Film Critics Circle for Best Actor in the film and Reitman and Sheldon were awarded Best Adapted Screenplay by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.
Opening nationwide on 23 December ,Up in the Air is currently in limited release and is rated R.
