Anushka Sharma makes money, buys duplex

MUMBAI: With all the moolah coming her way, Anushka Sharma has invested it in a well meaning way. She bought herself a swanky duplex in Mumbai's Yari Road and is planning to move out of her rented flat in Malad very soon.

Although Sharma refused to say anything, her friend disclosed, "Anushka wanted a flat of her own and when she signed a big banner film and got lucrative endorsement deals, she invested the money in buying property. As the rates are still on the downside post the recession, she got a good bargain."

The actress has shelled out 3.5 crores, we are told for her duplex. While the interiors will be done at her convenience, Sharma plans to move in immediately. But it was not just a house that Sharma bought. She also got a Honda Accord for herself.

Sharma has just returned from her 35 day long outdoor shoot in the USA for Parmeet Sethi's film. In the meantime, she has signed an endorsement deal with Parachute, where she replaced Deepika Padukone. The leggy lass has also got the plum role of pairing up against Akshay Kumar for director Nikhil Advani's next, Patiala House.

Sharma has slowly but steadily made her way in tinsel town. Quite out of the media glare, she has gone about her business. And with two films in her kitty, both with box office favorites, Shahid Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, Sharma has cemented herself well in Bollywood after a dream debut with Shah Rukh Khan and Yash Raj Films.
