John Abraham roped in as brand ambassador for Maruti SX4
MUMBAI: John Abraham is back in India after almost two months, but the actor has had little time to spare. After a whirlwind tour to Delhi where he launched the latest bike from Yamaha, the actor was ensconced in business meetings to be the brand ambassador of SX4, the high end car from Maruti.
"After negotiations, John agreed to be the brand ambassador for the car. The appeal of John and the tag line of the car, 'Men are Back' are in complete sync and so we signed him on. The details of the contract are still being worked out," an official from the company tells Businessofcinema.com.
John is one of the big names in the Bollywood circuit where advertisements are concerned. His tough image coupled with films like Dhoom to his credit, makes the handsome hunk an ideal model for most products. Prior to this, the actor has not been associated with any car brand but signed up for all products associated with the motor and bike industry, be it bikes or lubricants.
According to information available with Businessofcinema.com, shooting for the commercial will happen shortly to attract buyers for the festive season. John is currently in Mumbai shooting for Abbas Tyrewala's film, which was recently shot in a one long schedule in London.
As his market value increases so are the offers from prestigious filmmakers and brands.
