Veteran actor - producer Feroz Khan passes away
MUMBAI: Veteran film actor Feroz Khan passed away on Sunday (26 April) night at his residence in Bangalore. He was 69 years old.
The actor was battling with cancer for almost a year and was also admitted to a hospital in Mumbai earlier this year.
The funeral is slated to take place in Bangalore today at 5 pm. Members of the Indian film industry are slated to gather at Khan's farmhouse in Bangalore to pay their respects.
Khan made his debut in film Didi in 1960. However, he has been most known for his film Qurbani and Jaanbaz. Khan's last film as an actor was Aneez Bazmee's Welcome. Khan starred in a total of 47 films.
He also launched his son Fardeen Khan in his directorial venture - Prem Aggan in 1998. He has made films like Janasheen, Prem Aggan, Yalgaar, Janbaaz, Qurbani and Dharmatma amongst others.
The Directorate of Film Festivals has expressed deep condolence on the demise of actor-producer-director.
In his death, the Hindi film industry has lost a rare actor who believed in re-inventing himself as he also forayed into direction, production and editing. During his lifetime, he directed seven films, produced six and was the film editor for two films.
He is survived by his wife Sundari, son and daughter-in-law Fardeen Khan and Natasha and daughter Laila.
Businessofcinema.com team extends heartfelt sympathy to the Khan family for the loss. Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.
