Reliance to give Abhishek cash flow from Pa's satellite right
MUMBAI: After Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, it's now Abhishek Bachchan's turn at picking stake in his movie's rights.
While all other actors have negotiated for cash flows from any one territory's theatrical distribution rights and that being mostly Mumbai, Bachchan has made an arrangement for Pa, as per which he will get the cash flows from the satellite rights of the movie from Reliance.
As was first reported by Businessofcinema.com, Pa starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Hurman Baweja will go on floors on 2 March. The film is a part of the co-production deal between AB Corp and Reliance Big Entertainment, which was signed last year. The film is being made on a budget of Rs 150 - 180 million (Rs 15 - 18 crores).
On being contacted by Businessofcinema.com, Reliance Big Entertainment president Rajesh Sawhney denied the development saying, "This is not true."
However, if a source close to the development is to be believed, this arrangement for the deal has already been decided upon and is due to be signed in a few days.
