Spice Cinemas slashes movie ticket prices for weekdays

Mumbai: Dr. BK Modi-led Spice Group's theatre chain Spice Cinemas has reduced its movie-ticket prices.

As per the revised prices, movie tickets at Spice Cinemas will be available at a minimal price of Rs 40 (classic section) and Rs 50 (premium section) for all shows on weekdays (Monday – Thursday).

The price of tickets would however, remain the same on weekends from Friday - Sunday ranging from Rs 50 - 140 for Classic and Rs 70 - 150 for Premium class.

Spice Corp global chairman Dr B K Modi said, "In India, multiplexes have been restricted to a certain class of people due to high ticket prices. In spite of being a dynamic business, offerings from multiplexes have been facing limited viewership. Our move to reduce prices is to reach more of our valuable customers including the younger generation; giving them a reason to smile and enjoy at leisure. By reducing the ticket pricing, Spice Cinemas will contribute its bit to lead the industry and at the same time offer far greater value and benefit to its customers."

Spice Cinemas has eight screens including Spice Gold in North India.
